Services for Elise L. "Pat" Herwehe Sievert were held Friday, March 31, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home, Interment was in St. John's Cemetery in rural Newton.
The daughter of Grover and Marie Colyn Herwehe, Elise was born Oct 12, 1925, on the family farm North of Monroe. She attended Washington Elementary School and graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1943. Following graduation, Elise moved to Washington D.C. where she worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Later she worked for the Iowa Des Moines National Bank in Des Moines. After moving to Dallas, TX, Elise was "The Polaroid Camera Girl" for the Polaroid Corporation. On August 23, 1947, Elise was united in marriage to Dale K. Sievert, at the University Christian Church near Drake University in Des Moines. She was a member of the Highland Park Presbyterian Chruch in University Park, TX. Elise died at her home in Farmington Hills, Michigan, on Tuesday morning, March 28, 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her husband, Dale of Farmington Hills, Michigan; her son and daughter-in-law William Grover and Leslie, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ronald Trotter of Livonia, Michigan; and her brother, Donald Hugh Herwehe of Springfield, IL.
