Those left to honor Judy’s memory are her life partner, Steven E. Brown of Newton; son, Bob (Denise) Hummel of Slater, Iowa; daughters, christy Brown of Veneta, Oregon and Stacy (brian) Freitas of Eugene, Oregon; her five grandchildren, Tim Reynolds of Des Moines, Iowa, Zach Maston of Des Moines, Chelsea Trotter of Newton, Gunnar Bucklin of Newton and Stevie Freitas of Eugene, Oregon; and sisters, Joyce Dunn and Jenny McCaughey, both of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Bambi Maston and Brandi Cain.

Judy worked at Thrifty Scot Motel for 3 years as an assistant manager.

Judy was a co-founder of the Manhattan Christmas Club now known as the St. Nick’s Christmas Club. She enjoyed going to the casinos, dancing and partying with her family and friends.
