PEORIA, Ariz. - Funeral services for George R. Conn, 71, of Peoria, Ariz., a former longtime resident of Newton, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Best Funeral Home at 9380 West Peoria Avenue in Peoria, Ariz.

Mr. Conn, former owner of the Jasper Lumber Company in Newton, died Monday, Dec. 9, at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Ariz.

Memorials to the Newton Community Theatre will be accepted.

Survivors include his wife, Diane of Peoria, Ariz., three sons, Dennis of Eugene, Ore., David of Cedar Rapids and Douglas of Frazer, Pa.; a daughter, Carol Conn O'Kennedy of Maui, Hawaii; and thee grandchildren. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Dec 1996.
