COLFAX - Vallie Pearl Hoy Rinard, 91, a lifelong resident of Jasper and Marshall Counties, died Saturday, may 4, at the home of her daughter in Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. David Mc Neeley, pastor of the Colfax Assembly of God, will conduct services. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery in Rhodes.

Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors are a son, Leon Earl, of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Fonda Tribby of Melbourne and Leona Bickle of Newton; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wesley, a son, Harold, six brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the Colfax Assembly of God and Colfax American Legion Auxiliary.

The daughter of Isaac and Harriett Plumb Hoy, she was born Jan. 5, 1900 in Hoy Hill community near Baxter and was a graduate of Rhodes High School.

She was married to Wesley Rinard July 8, 1922. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Mon 6 May 1991.
