GRINNELL – Floyd C. Durr, 80, of Rt. 3, Grinnell, father of James Durr of Baxter, died Monday, Dec. 31, at the Grinnell General Hospital.

Also surviving are his wife, two daughters, 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and the three sisters, including Evelyn Kingma and Verna Shepherd, who resided in Newton at one time.

Funeral services for Mr. Durr, a longtime Ewart area farmer, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.

The Rev. Glenn H. Hulsebus, retired Ewart United Presbyterian Church pastor, will conduct services.

Burial will be in Pleasant Township Cemetery south of Grinnell.

Masonic and Odd Fellows services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
