Former Colfax Photographer Died April 11.
Donald L. Jennings, 63, well known Newton photographer, died Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Newton.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Colfax Cemetery, where a flag presentation will be held.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; a son, William of Newton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Carl Versteegh of Newton and Judy and Dennis Thompson of Cincinnati, and Misty and Robbi Versteegh of Newton.
Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Cecil Smith of Des Moines.
The son of E. Harvey and Edith Jennings, he was born April 12, 1916 at Colfax.
He was a 1934 graduate of Newton Community High School and attended the Winona, Ind. School of Photography.
He resided in Colfax until moving to Newton in 1924.
He was married to Genevieve Evans March 31, 1941 at the First Christian Church in Newton. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa
