As per Roger's wishes he has been cremated and there will not be a memorial service.

Those left to honor Roger’s memory are his wife, Cindy of Newton; children, Brad (Sarah) Lickey of Coralville and Kari Lickey of Kansas City, Missouri; and his mother, Dorothy Lickey of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo; and sister, Marie “Sherri” Daubert.

Roger was a graduate of Newton High School in 1973.

Roger was a machinist at the Maytag Company for 23 years and he also had worked for 3 years with his dad at Lickey’s Garage.

He was a member of the NRA and of National Firearms Roger enjoyed deer hunting, trap shooting, canoeing, camping, he was a drummer in a band for several years and he had been on several aerobatic airplane rides.
