Lawson Garrison, former resident of Newton, dies

Lawson Garrison, 75, of Des Moines, former resident of Newton, died Saturday in Challis, Idaho.

Burial was held in Newton Union Cemetery.

Wallace Funeral Home in Newton was in charge of Newton arrangements.

Surviving are two sons, Billy Garrison of Challis, and David Garrison of Bellingham, Wash., and three sisters, Mrs. Dewey (Rachel) Ford of Monroe, Mrs. Lela Sharp of Sioux City, and Mrs. Anna Wing of Mitchellville.

Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, two brothers, and a sister.

The son of Joseph T. and Daisy Snow Garrison, he was born April 25, 1908 in Missouri.
