Services for Elizabeth J. Brouwer of Pella were held Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella. Rev. Andy Kamphuis and the Rev. Henry Poppen officiated the services. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery in Pella.

Elizabeth died Sunday, August 19, 2001, at Pella Regional Health Center at the age of 87.
The daughter of Cornelius and Jocoba Van Zanten, Elizabeth was born north of Pella, on April 11, 1914. On March 3, 1936, she married Raymond Brouwer in Prairie City. She was a homemaker and lived all of her life in Jasper and Marion counties. She as a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Larry Kuiper of Otley; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. She also leaves two half-brothers, Ray and Ben Van Zanten, both of California; a step-brother, Richard Sukkel of Monroe; and a step-sister, Henrietta Poortinga of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-parents, husband, a half-brother.
