NORWALK, Calif. – Gordon Paul Wells, 85, of Norwalk, Calif., a former resident of Newton, died Thursday, May 2, at his home following a heart attack.

Graveside rites will be held at rose Hill Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.

Survivors are his wife, Laura; a son, Bob, of Norwalk, Calif., three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances and Evelyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Wells was a former Maytag Hotel employee.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wells, he was married to Laura Bruce Aug. 25, 1930. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Fri 3 May 1991.
