Services Held Saturday for L. A. Snook
Services for L. A. “Pappy” Snook, 72, of Goodson, Mo., were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in Pitts Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Burial was in the Start Ridge Cemetery, northeast of Bolivar.
Mr. Snook died early Wednesday morning, Jan. 2, in his home after a short illness.
A retired farmer and stockman, he was a native of Mingo and a resident of the Goodson and Louisburg communities for the past 25 years. He was a member of Ashton Chapel Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Steinmark, Long Lane, and Pearl Davis, Address unknown; two sons, Bill Snook, Bolivar, and LeRoy C. Snook; a step-son, Ken Taylor of Fairplay; three step-daughters, Naomi Clark, Omaha, Neb., Mary Bear, Rhodes, Iowa, and Jeneane Paul, Marietta, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Jan 1985.
