Henry, the son of Henry and Erwen (Jones) Jensen, was born November 13, 1938, in Newton. He was a lifelong resident of Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1957. He owned and operated Jensen Construction for many years, specializing in brick masonry. Henry was a member of the Newton Elk’s Lodge No. 1270. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

Those left to honor Henry’s memory include his wife, Donna of Newton; children, Christine Blomgren of Ankeny and Jay (Jenny) Jensen of Newton; two grandchildren, James Jensen (fiancé, Jenny Saunders) and Henry Jensen; and his brother, David (Margaret) Jensen of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Vandi Jensen.
