Terry, the son of Chuck and Jackie (Hucks) Pickerell, Sr., was born September 27, 1961, in Davenport, Iowa. He grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1981. He was united in marriage with Jody McWilliams on May 10, 1987, in Ottumwa. The couple moved to Newton in 1999, and Terry had worked at Ambassador Steel in Newton until the time of his illness. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, deer hunting, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Those left to honor Terry’s memory include his wife, Jody of Newton; daughters, Gabby Pickerell and Olivia Pickerell of Newton; his siblings: Edward Pickerell, William Pickerell, and Lisa Richards; his mother and father-in-law, Judy and Ronnie Slechta; his sister-in-law, Darcie Brunk and her children, Dana and Shelby; brother-in-law, Bob (Alisa) McWilliams, and their children, Gavin and Callie McWilliams; nephews, Justin and Joey Brown; and niece, Katie Pickerell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chuck Pickerell, Jr. and Gary Pickerell; infant sister, Teresa; and grandparents, Ralph and Maxine Francis.
