Col. Fagan Died At Cedar Rapids

Popular Auctioneer for Colfax Sales Co. Buried Tuesday

Col. Gene Fagan, the popular and well known auctioneer at the Colfax Sales Co. passed away Sunday at a hospital in Cedar Rapids following a few weeks illness. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in that city.

Mr. Fagan has been the auctioneer at the sales barn since their first opening and has given complete satisfaction to the management, and has made a host of friends among the buyers and sellers for the barn.

For many years he has been one of the outstanding auctioneers throughout the central and eastern part of the state, selling the high grade class of sales. Since the advent of the sales barn he has been in constant demand and has had a regular schedule of barns in which he sold.

The Colfax Sales Co. will announce their selection of a successor to Col. Fagan soon. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 22 Oct 1936.
