Newburg Boy Killed in Auto Mishap

Clifford See, 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe See of near Kellogg died from injuries received when the car in which he was riding with his parents collided with a truck driven by Clifford Bennington of near Newburg Monday Night.

The truck driver was being held without charges until the conclusion of the Coroner’s inquest. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa June 1937

Clifford was the oldest child born to Joe B. and Ida M. See on Joe's dad farm west of Grinnell, Iowa.

Cliford was killed in a car accident, by a drunk driver, two day's before his 5th birthday. Clifford was survived by his parents and younger brothers Paul & Harold. Ida was pregnant with Ben when the accident occured.
