“What I Live For,” was taken from the fly leaves of Mrs. Lanning’s Bible.

Whose hearts are kind and true
For the heaven that smiles above me
And awaits my spirit too;
For the human ties that bind me,
For the task by God assigned me
For the bright hopes left behind me
And the good that I can do.
“In the secret of His presence
How my soul delights to hide
O how precious are the moments,
That I spend at Jesus Side.”

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon from the Lanning home in west Colfax, with Rev. L. C. McDonald officiating. John A. Davis sang for the service.
