Service Today for Wanda Harris

Wanda Helen Harris, 63, of Riverside, California, a former funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, August 1 parentheses resident of Baxter, died Thursday, July 25, at her home in Riverside.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 1 (today) at the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Baxter.

The Rev. David Raymond, pastor at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Newton, will conduct services.

The organist is Mrs. Don Allan, and the singers are Mrs. Gary Halter and Mrs. Douglas Deutsch.

Pallbearers are Jim Harris, Raymond Luing, Tom Luce, Mike Luce, Bill Luing, and Jim Sutton.

Boyd – Davis Funeral Home in Baxter handled arrangements.

Survivors are her husband, Jim; three brothers, Ernest Luing of Baxter, Danny Luing of comments, and Charles Luing of Rhodes; and three sisters, Pattie Smith, Maxine Thomas and Virginia Luing, all of Des Moines.

Also surviving are her step-mother, Lena Bruce of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a step- brother, Joe Thomas of Des Moines and two step-sisters, Colleen Thomas and Mary Smith, both of Des Moines.

A homemaker, Mrs. Harris was born Nov. 13, 1927, in Baxter and had resided in California for approximately 18 years. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 1 Aug 1991.
