Chas. S. Williams Well Known Famer Died Wed.

Had Been In Poor Health For Past Several Years

Chas. S. Williams, 73, well known Washington township farmer, died at his home west of Colfax early Wednesday morning.

For the past several years, MR. Williams had been in poor health and earlier this spring had a severe sickness, but was able to be about as usual, and his sudden passing Wednesday was unexpected.

Besides his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harris Thomas of Mitchellville and Mrs. Mildred Ellison of Martelle, Ia.

Mr. Williams had been a life resident of the community and was well known throughout the western part of Jasper County.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the home west of Colfax, with rev. Russell G. Nye of the Methodist Church officiating. The Odd Fellow service will be given.

Interment will be at the Mitchellville Cemetery. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 17 Jun 1937.
