Wm. Harmsen, age 70, died suddenly at his home, Wednesday, Oct. 28th, 1931.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harmsen moved from Pella to the farm where Clarence Long lives, one mile northwest of Clyde, 47 years ago. Later they bought a farm one mile north and have lived there since, except a few years in Des Moines while the children were in school. He was a stockman and farmer.

They have three children, Otis, Minnie, wife of Ray Rumbaugh, and Mrs. Ora Sheibly, all of whom are university graduates. They are living on the home farms, helping their parents.

Besides the wife and children, three grandchildren, Billy, Harriet and Minnie May Sheibly and other relatives survive.

The funeral was held at the home Friday and interment at the Evergreen cemetery. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa, Thurs 5 Nov 1931.
