We are again mourning the loss of a dear one, Mrs. J. O. Patterson having passed away on February 4, at Iowa City.

Miss Winifred Beals of Ira and J. O. Patterson of Newton were united in marriage thirty-six years ago and remained true pals until "death us do part." We feel as though we have lost a mother. Sister Fred always had a good word or
an excuse for all. (Typed as written) The services were held at the M. E. Church in Ira Sunday at 2 o'clock, where the beautiful flowers and the church overflowing with friends, be (rest of this line is missing).

Many in this vicinity were saddened by the death of Mrs. Jim Patterson. the funeral services were held Sunday from the M. E. Church at Ira and burial was made at the Union Chapel Cemetery. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 11 Feb 1932.
