Former Iowa Man Dies in California

David H. Wiles, former resident of Mingo, died in Papua, Calif. the 23rd of April, at the age of 60 years.

Mr. Wiles was unmarried and is survived by his aged father, Fred Wiles, and two brothers, Jim and Frank, and several nieces and a nephew, Jesse Same, of Oakland, Calif.

Mr. Wiles was a cement worker and while working on a building, the scaffold fell 20 feet, injuring him, which caused his death. His skull was fractured and a hip broken, besides other injuries. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 14 May 1931.
