GRINNELL - Tracie Rozendaal, 88, of Grinnell, formerly of Sully, died of Alzheimer's Disease Monday, Feb 25, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the First reformed Church in Sully with the Rev. Roger Punt officiating. Burial will be at Sully Cemetery. Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Sully is handling arrangements.

Friends may call today at the funeral home where family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to The Bible League or Words of Hope.

The daughter of Leendert and Allie (Buitenwerf) De Penning, she was born May 19, 1913, in Otley.

On Feb 14, 1935, she married Ted Rozendaal in Sully. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully and Sully Senior Citizens. Mrs. Rozendaal was a resident of Sully for 20 years and lived the rest of her life on a farm in rural Sully. She enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include her husband; a brother, Paul De Penning of Pella; two step-brothers and their wives, Marion and Treva Dieleman and Elmer and Emma Dieleman, all of Pella; two sisters-in law, Lucille De Penning of Newton and Catherine De Penning of Sully; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death byher parents, step-mother, three brothers and a sister. The Jasper County Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Wed 27 Feb 2002.
