January 31, 1931 - May 13, 2015

Glen E. Shuey, age 84 of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Newton Health Care. Funeral services will be held on at Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will follow at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Jasper County and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Lewis Glen and Bertha V. (Weithers) Shuey, Glen was born on January 31, 1931, in Collins, Iowa. He attended schools in Collins. Glen served in the United States Army.

On July 2, 1954, he was united in marriage to Grace Telfer in Maxwell, Iowa.

Glen worked at The Monroe Company, Kent Feeds and Walmart, retiring at the age of 79 in July of 2010.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Marla (Chris) Behrens of California, Maryland and Dennis (Tammy) Shuey of Humeston, Iowa; four grandchildren, Brandy Latteri, Brett Behrens, Ashley Behrens, and Jeremy Shuey; three great grandchildren, Sophie Behrens, Blaine Behrens, and Chase Latteri; and his siblings, Dorothy Hendee of Newton, Iowa, Richard Shuey of Henderson, Nevada, Shirley Clippinger of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jerry Mellor of Pleasant Hill, Iowa and James Mellor of Beardstown, Illinois.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Grace and two brothers, John Shuey and Larry Shuey. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 13 May 2015.
