Raymond Mabie, Former Colfax Youth Dies At Marshalltown June 18

Raymond Mabie, 18, former Colfax youth, died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown Wednesday, June 18th, after a struggle for life since a child.

He was the son of the late Oliver Mabie, well known Metropolitan Life Insurance agent who had spent most of his life here until being transferred to Marshalltown a few years ago.

He is survived by his mother Mrs. Oliver Mabie; a sister Edith and brother, Robert, at home, besides numerous uncles, aunts and other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted at the Purcell Funeral home in Marshalltown, Saturday afternoon with interment in the family lot at Colfax cemetery. ~ Probably a Colfax paper, July 1941.
