Alexander Sandy Crawford, 76 died September 1 at Detroit, MI after suffering a stroke.
He was born February 20, 1880 at Duquion, ILL, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Crawford.
He was united in marriage May 18, 1903 in Colfax and made his home here until 1924. He returned to this city in 1944 and lived here until two years ago when he went to Detroit, MI where he made his home with his daugher Mrs. Augusta Harp.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Augusta Harp, Detroit, MI; Mrs. Elizabeth Nebeker, Milwaukee, WI; Mrs. Thelma Harris, Chicago, IL; three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Staker and Mrs. Elizabeth Lippincott of Colfax and Mrs. Belle Spence of Des Moines; one brother David Crawford of Colfax, four grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
A miliary funeral service will be held Thursday (today) at 2 o'clock at the Bumgardner Funeral Home with Rev. Frank P. Hiadky of the Presbyterian Churck officiating.
Burial will be in the Colfax cemetary.
