He worked as a district manager for the Des Moines Register, a contractor for FHA Homes and also as a self-employed landscaper. His creative ideas are appreciated by those he shared his talents with. Bud was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in addition to priding himself in being an expert mushroom hunter. Among his other hobbies, story-telling, spending time reminiscing with friends and the occasional night out dancing brought him great joy as well. He also took great pleasure in attending activities that his children and grandchildren were involved in over the years.
