Mrs. Mary James Dies in Newton
75-Year Old Woman Survived By Mother, 95, Who Is Seriously Ill
Mrs. Mary James, 75, died at 11 a.m. this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Beitel, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held in Lovillia, but no definite arrangements have been made.
Mrs. James made her home near Hiteman, Ia., for many years, coming to Newton in October of 1937 because of failing health.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bethia Caves, 95, who is critically ill at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Beitel.
Other survivors are three sons, Clyde, Charles and John, all of Albia, three brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, and one daughter.
