Mrs. John Kaldenberg Died Suddenly Thurs.
Funeral Services Held Saturday Afternoon From M.E. Church
Mrs. John Kaldenberg died suddenly Thursday morning of a heart attack, death coming sometime during the morning while she was about her work. She had not been ill recently, but had a serious time with her heart about a year ago. She seemed as well as usual when Mr. Kaldenberg went to the field Thursday morning. He found her dead when he returned to the house at noon.
Eva May Buckley, daughter of J. H. and Susie Buckley, was born Oct. 10, 1885, at Colfax, Iowa, and died May 5, 1932, at the age of 46 years, 5 months, and 5 days. She lived most of her life near Colfax. Her death came unexpectedly and a sudden shock as the result of a heart attack.
She was united in marriage to John Kaldenberg on July 11, 1906. To this union were born three children, Kenneth, Keith, and Harlene. One son, Keith died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband, Kenneth and Harlene and one grand daughter, Shirley Ann Kaldenberg, her mother, Mrs. Susie Buckley, one brother, Ray Buckley of Newton, one sister, Mrs. Will Blake of Altoona, and a host of relatives and friends.
She became a member of the M. E. church of Colfax when quite young, later changing her letter to the M. E. Church of Mingo.
She was a staunch lover of her home and children. They were always first and uppermost in her mind. Her greatest joys were to serve those who were near and dear to her. Hers was a jovial and sunny disposition and will be greatly missed in her home and community.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church in Colfax, Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Simmons of Mingo officiating and Rev. L. C. McDonald of Colfax assisting. Music was furnished by Mrs. Simmons, Mrs. Hartley, Floyd Hulse and E. Geisler of Mingo. The pall bearers were six nephews.
