Mrs. Burnham Killed
LYNNVILLE – Mrs. Will Burnham, 68, of Lynnville was instantly killed Monday evening when the automobile in which she was riding overturned six miles north of here and pinned her beneath it.
The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. near the John Jelsma farm home, when a front tire on the Burnham car blew out.
Returning Home
Mr. and Mrs. Burnham were returning home from the Henry Ashby home, where they had spent the day. Mr. Burnham was driving.
The husband received minor injuries and was suffering from severe shock.
Mrs. Burnham had lived in and near Lynnville for many years.
Seven Children
She leaves, beside her husband, seven children. They are Ted Burnham, Grinnell; Albert Burnham, Turner; Will Burnham, jr., Bethel neighborhood; Lester Burnham, Searsboro; Mrs. George Swisher, Newton; Mrs. Henry Ashby, Bethel; Mrs. Lou Thompson, Grinnell.
Mrs. Burnham’s aged father lives in Oklahoma and she also has a brother and sister in Oklahoma and a sister in Nebraska.
No funeral arrangements had been made this morning.
