Theresa Clouse, Former Newton Resident, Dies
Mrs. John W. (Theresa H.) Clouse, 85, of Plentywood, Mont., a former resident of Newton, died Friday at the Sheridan memorial Hospital in Plentywood.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the First Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors are a son, Ted of Spirit Lake; a daughter, Mrs. C. M. (Rosemary) Miller of Plentywood, Mont.; and four grandchildren, Teresa, John and Kristie Clouse of Spirit Lake, and Susan Miller of Plentywood.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963; a son, John William; two grandsons, Michael and Mark Miller; and four sisters.
Mrs. Clouse was a member of the First Christian Church. She had held a number of Christian Church state offices.
She was a former antique collector.
The daughter of Joseph and Rosalia Jolley Gillaspie, she was born Jan. 24, 1888 in Pleasantville.
She was married June 15, 1912 in Newton.
Mrs. Clouse moved to Plentywood 3 years ago.
