Mrs. Ira Blood Passes Away
Manchia Miller, daughter of George and Eliza Miller was born August 20, 1874 in Polk County, Iowa and died March 8, 1930, age 55 years, six months and 17 days. She spent her girlhood with her parents, four brothers and four sisters, close to this community, where she was born. She was married January 4, 1898 to Ira Nathan Blood. To this union were born eleven children, ten of whom are living. She spent her entire life in this community, except fifteen years that she lived in Minnesota. She was a true and loving wife and a kind and faithful mother, never thinking of herself, but always working and planning for her family and friends.
She was always quite well until two years ago. Since then she has not been so well, although she managed her work, until a few weeks ago.
She leaves her husband, five sons and daughters, Pearl Peters, Inez Smith, Ruth Freel and Frank, David, Glenn, Edith, Hazel, Donovan and Ivol Blood; three son-in-laws, Archie Peters, Ross Smith, Alva Freel, six grandchildren, four brothers, four sisters and many other relatives and friends.
(A poem accompanied the obituary.)
