Wicker, Mary Altha Pulver – 1889-1918

Mary Altha Pulver was born near Verdon, Nebraska, January 30, 1889.
Early in life she obeyed the gospel and later was united with the Church of Christ.
She was united in marriage to Rev. D. Wicker December 24, 1911.
She died at her home near Albia, Iowa, December 10, 1918, of influenza.
She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, three children, Thelma age six, Mina age four and baby Raymond age two, a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Pulver, five sisters, Mrs. Allen Douglas, Mrs. James Daugherty, Mrs. Albert Quick, Mrs. Jay McCoy, Miss Louise Pulver and a brother, Francis Pulver, also a host of relatives and friends.
She was a kind and patient wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her. Her place cannot be filled.
Yes ‘tis a rough and thorny road
That leads us to the saint’s abode;
But when our Father’s house we gain
‘Twill make amends for all our pain.
