Brunner, Adam – 1844-1918

Adam Brunner was born April 2, 1844, came here with his parents from Germany to 1846 and they made their home near Vandalia, Iowa.
He was married in 1868 to Eliza A. Kilgore. They have six children, two having died in early life and four still living, three sons and a daughter as follows: Vally Brunner, John F. Brunner and Chas. E. Brunner, and Mrs. F. W. Price of Des Moines. Grandchildren: Vera Price, Cecil Brunner and Loren Brunner.
Mr. Brunner was a farmer in early life, and up to the time of his wife’s death in April 1886. After that time he lived in Prairie City except the time he spent with Mrs. Price in Des Moines.
He will be remembered here by a host of friends and a number of relatives.
After great suffering he passed away at 8:30 Thursday evening, December 12, 1918.
He leaves also three brothers and two sisters, Jacob and John of Newton, and Henry who lives on the old home place. Hanna Brunner lives in Prairie City and Margaret Herweh at Fletcher, South Dakota.
