Colin John Cogley, 24, Colfax, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Friday, Aug. 20, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines.

A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 23, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, with burial at McKeever Cemetery there.

He was born in Des Moines Dec. 20, 1968, the son of Dr. Keith and Caroleen Shifflet Cogley, and had lived in Colfax all his life. He had been a student at Iowa State University, Ames, and more recently had studied at Des Moines Area Community College and the American Institute of Business, both in Des Moines, planning to return to Iowa State this fall.

He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, Dr. Keith Cogley, Colfax; three brothers, Shawn and Brian, both of Colfax, and Patrick, Branson, Mo.; four sisters, Kelley Jo Redman, Megan Cogley and Marna Cogley, all of Colfax, and Brenda Probasco, Moulton; his grandmother Clara Cogley, Grinnell, and aunts and uncles in the Grinnell area.
