Mrs. Gearhart, 63, Life-Time Jasper Resident, Dies

Mrs. Fern Cora Gearhart, 63, a life-long resident of Jasper county, died at 5:50 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cornie Kleinendorst of Newton.

Funeral services have been set tentatively for 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Allan K. Williams, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating.

Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery. Toland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gearhart is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Earl Parcell of Chicago; Miss Frances Gearhart and Mrs. Cornie Kleinendorst, both of Newton; Mrs. Harry Reynolds of Longview, Wash; Mrs. Garold Kirkman and Mrs. Loren Craft of Des Moines; Mrs. Louis Stulak of Chicago and Mrs. Donald Townsend of Colfax; a son, Charles Gearhart of Des Moines; and her mother, Mrs. Henry Holdefer of Corydon.

Other survivors are four brothers, a sister, 20 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holdefer, she was born Feb. 22, 1892, in Jasper county where she resided all her life.

She was a member of the Methodist church and the JOC class of the church.
