The Newton Daily News, March 11, 1912 under the column called "County News and Correspondence" for Prairie City

"Eusebia Jane Streeter was born in Delaware county, New York, January 12, 1837, and died February 27, 1912, at the age of 75 years, one month and fifteen days. Early in life she went with her father to Pennsylvania. Later the family moved to Ohio and finally settled in the northwest part of Jasper county, Iowa."

Submitter's note: Her husband who died almost thirty years earlier on October 23, 1882, was Joseph Ashton.
