Clela Croy, 80, Dies on Monday; Rites Thursday
Clela R. Croy, 80, of Midtown Apartments, a longtime resident of Newton, died Monday afternoon at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Reese Chapel.
The Rev. Edwin Frohardt, interim pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ and retired pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the First Christian Church or the Skiff Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Shepherd of Pocahontas; a niece and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Mrs. Croy, a member of the First Christian Church and Rock Creek Ikettes, was a Dun-Lap Manufacturing Co. employee for more than 30 years.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Croy, she was born March 18, 1899 in Searsboro.
