Louise J. Bill

Louise J. Bill, 84, of Newton, a resident of Newton since 1974, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1987, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. E. William Kaska, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Memorial prayer services for Mrs. Bill, whose body has been donated for scientific research to the University Hospitals at Iowa City, will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Memorials to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Covenant House, Box 731, Times Square Station, New York, N. Y. 10108 will be accepted. Wallace-Pence Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Survivors are her niece, Barbara (Mrs. Paul) Johnson of Des Moines, where Miss Bill resided for many years helping raise the Johnson children while their parents were employed; a nephew, David Banks of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a sister, Evelyn (Mrs. Reine) Betian of Forest Park, Ill.; and three brothers, Herman Bill of Des, Plaines, Ill., Harold Bill of Florida and Robert Bill of Forest Park, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Miss Bill, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, RSVP and Jasper County Senior Citizens, had been a clerk for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 45 years.

The daughter of Joseph and Anna Schulz Bill, she was born May 8, 1903 in Chicago, Ill.

Miss Bill had resided in Forest Park, Ill., most of her life.
