Pauline Riley Dies Friday; Services Today

COLFAX – Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Pauline) Riley, 83, of Colfax were held today at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

She died Friday at the Clear View Manor in Prairie City.

The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Christian Church in Colfax, conducted services. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Dean (Virginia) Chandler of Davenport, Mrs. Max (Marilynne) Jennings of Prairie City and Josephine Riley of Sioux City; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and her husband in 1969.

Mrs. Riley was a member of the United Methodist Church in Colfax and the Rose of Sharon Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

The daughter of Joseph and Sadie Hise Krohn, she was born Aug. 29, 1894 in Fairmount.

She was married Jan. 20, 1921 at Des Moines. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Daily News, Monday, January 9, 1978
