Tenny Wisgerhof Dies Saturday; Services Tuesday
SULLY – Mrs. Glenn (Tenny) Wisgerhof, 63, of Sully, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Saturday evening at the Grinnell General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the Newton First Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Sully Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Ken of Newton and Kirk of Springfield, Ill.; a granddaughter, Heather of Newton, a grandson, Scott of Newton and four sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Errisje) Mick, Mrs. Oliver (Durkey) Jones and Mrs. Fred (Grace) Shenton, all of Newton, and Mrs. Harold (Marie) Shed of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kay; and a brother, John Kolfscolten.
The daughter of John and Maggie Diekema Kolfschlten, she was born Aug. 15, 1914 in rural Jasper County and was graduated from Newton Community High School.
She was married April 16, 1938 at the Little Brown Church near Nashua. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Daily News, Monday, January 9, 1978.
