Urbandale - Wesley Toye, 81, died peacefully Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at his home surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial were today at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale with internment to follow at Glendale Cemetey.

Wesley was born in Newton on April 28, 1926. He served in both World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Mercy Medical Center after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Iowa Hawkeye sports and spending time with family and friends at Clear Lake.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Judy; three daughters, Susan (Richard) Den Otter, Debbie Hutchinson and Shelley Toye and her fiance Tom Ford, all of Des Moines; one son, Aaron (Katie) Toye of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Donna Tabor of Newton and Betty Millard of Peyton, Colo.; his twin brother, Lesley Toye of Garden Grove, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Priest Pension Fund of the Diocese of Des Moines.
