Death of Jennie Stock Gearhart

Jennie Stock Gearhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Stock, was born in Mingo, Iowa. June 23rd, 1892 and departed this life March 29th, 1947 at Oakland, California. Her girlhood days were spent in Mingo and her married life in Des Moines moving to California in the year 1936.

She united with the Dunkard Church at Farrar early in life. Preceeding her in death were her father and mother and an infant son, and one brother also of Oakland, California. She leaves to mourn her loss one sister, Mrs. Horace Dodd of Marshalltown, two nieces of Nevada, Ia. Mrs. Jack Kitchen and Mrs. Clarence See, one nephew, Marvin Stock of California and other relatives and friends.

Services were held April 3rd at the Methodist Church in Mingo, Ia., with Rev. Orval Walker of Marshalltown officiating with burial at Ashton Cemetery.

Music was furnished by Mrs. L. L. Pickett, Mrs Dorothy Southern, Mr. and Mrs. Otho Hulse and Eldon Geisler.
