Good Mother Passes Away

Charlotte Amelia Gleason was born October 8, 1857, at Madison, Wisconsin and departed this life March 22, 1924 at the age of 67 years, 6 months, and 14 days. She came to Iowa at the age of 6 years where she has resided since.

She was united in marriage to Jacob Stier July 3, 1876. To this union was born 2 children, Jennie who preceeded her in death age 16 years, and James of Oakland, California. She united with the Christian church at Mingo, Iowa in 1897.

There remains to mourn her death the husband, son James, two sisters, Ida McKeever and Cora Stock of Mingo, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and a host of friends.

She was a faithful Christian member of her church and was ready to help in anything desired of her, in later years she was unable to attend church and Sunday school, so joined the home department and remained a faithful member until her death. Although she was a sufferer, she will be missed by the many loved ones left.
