Death of Samuel Carr.

Samuel Carr, one of the old citizens of Jasper county, died at his home in Sherman township, Wednesday, January 7, 1903 in the sixty-sixth year of his age. He was a highly respected citizen and will be greatly missed. Besides his wife he leaves four children, Marion, Monroe and Viola who are at home and a married daughter who resides in Pueblo, Colorado.

The funeral was held Friday in Sugar Grove church, conducted by Rev. Stahl of Colfax. ~ The Newton Journal, January 14, 1903, page 3.
