Lillie Edgeton Dies Sunday; Services set

Mrs. Charles (Lillie) Edgeton, 83, Nelson Manor, resident of Newton since 1924 died Sunday evening at Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Loehr Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.

Surviving are three sons, Edward of Mesa, Ariz., James of Fairfield and LaVerne of Grinnell; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Bixby of Davenport; and a sister, Mrs. Madge Huff of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.

Mrs. Edgeton was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Navy Mothers Club.

The daughter of John and Margaret Caldwell Bixby, she was born July 15, 1887, at Boone.

She was married Jan. 18, 1911 at Boone.

Mrs. Edgeton has resided at the Manor since 1961. ~ Newton Daily News, (no date given)
