Funeral Services
Funeral services for Bonnie J. Maldonado, 58, of Rt. 3, Newton, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. William E. Sexton, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wallace Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Monday.
Survivors are three sons, Michael J. Kilgore of San Leandro, Calif., Robert L. Kilgore of Fremont, Calif., and David W. Kilgore of Ankeny; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Linda) Babbitt of Newton; her mother, Mrs. Henry W. (Lottie) Thompson of Newton; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry W. Thompson, in June 1977.
Ms Maldonado was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Nazareth White Shrine, Rebekah Lodge, Eagles Lodge and the Loyal Order Daughters of the Nile.
The daughter of Harry W. and Lottie Parsons Thompson, she was born April 13, 1920 in Newton, was a graduate of Newton Community High School and was a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames.
She resided in California from the time of her graduation from university until moving to Newton 5 years ago.
