Margaret DeRonde Dies Monday; Rites Wednesday
SULLY – Mrs. Nick (Margaret) DeRonde, 63, of Rt. 2, Pella, a lifelong resident of the Jasper County area, died Monday at the Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella.
The Rev. Robert Holwerda, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Memorial contributions to the Christian Grade School in Pella will be accepted.
Pella Garden Chapel is handling arrangements.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert O. (Judith Ann) Martin of Sigourney; two grandchildren; a brother, John Keuning of Otley; and five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Huyser of Sully, Mrs. Raymond (Johanna) Graves of Holland, Mich., Mrs. Marnuis (Magdalene) Aalbers of Monroe, Mrs. Willis (Jennie) Vander Kool of Orange City and Mrs. Cornie (Anna) Van Zee of Renville, Minn.
She was preceded in death by parents, a son, Nick, and a sister.
Mrs. DeRonde, a charter member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella, had been a teacher in the Sully Christian Grade School and the Pella Christian Grade School.
The daughter of Peter and Gertie Terlouw Keuning, she was born May 3, 1915 in Marion County.
She was married May 30, 1939.
