Esther Charlotte Noah, 96, passed from this life on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Scottish Rite Park in Des Moines. A memorial service celebrating Esther's life will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, August 5, in the Penthouse at Scottish Rite Park, located at 2909 Woodland Avenue, in Des Moines. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, at Bethany Cemetery in Baxter, IA.

Esther was born on July 27, 1917 to Calvin and Charlotte (Wintermeier) Noah and grew up in Baxter, Iowa. She was confirmed at Bethany United Church of Christ. Esther was a graduate of Baxter High School and had attended Business College in Marshalltown. In the early 1950s, she moved to Des Moines, where Esther made her home. She was employed as an Office Supervisor with General Electric for nearly 30 years, until Esther retired in 1982. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Quota Club. Esther will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her two nephews, Donovan (Marilyn) Deppe of Newton, Iowa and Lee (Sheri) Houston of Oregon; two nieces, Jeanette Houston of Oregon and Louise (Joe) Leeper of California; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Esther was preceded into eternal life by her parents; and two sisters, Lorna Houston and Iona Deppe. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, at Iles Funeral Homes, Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to The Good Life Fund at Scottish Rite Park.
