Mary Veon Dixon (1927 - 2013)

Mary Veon Dixon, age 86 of Lakeview, Arkansas passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Mary Veon Dixon was born April 24, 1927 in Centerville, Iowa to William and Jenny Elizabeth (Sulser) Phelps. She married Carol R. Dixon on October 30, 1944 in Centerville, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, flowering, and crocheting. She attended Three Brothers Community Church.

Mrs. Mary Veon Dixon is survived by her four children; Gloria Shumaker of Mountain Home, Dan Dixon of Phoenix, Arizona, Marvin Dixon of Lakeview, Norman Dixon (Arlene) of Mountain Home, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three sisters; Ruth Miller of Ankeny, Iowa, Edna Garr of Newton, Iowa, and Sarah Exline (Lynn) of Exline, Iowa. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Phelps of West Branch, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Carol Dixon, one son; Todd Dixon, two sisters, and one brother.
