Mrs. Martha Roberts Lonsberry died at her home Friday evening, Dec. 18, 1903, after months of suffering, lung trouble being the cause of her death. Mrs. Lonsberry was 71 years old at the time of her death. She was a most excellent woman, loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Lonsberry was the widow of J. H. Lonsberry who died suddenly two years ago in the M. E. Church while attending revival meetings. She was an aunt to Treasurer Frank Roberts and Vern Roberts of Newton and leaves three sons, John Lonsberry of Colo, Ia., Frank of California, and Charley of Monroe. The funeral took place at the M. E. Church Tuesday at 11 o’clock, Rev. J. A. Ross conducting the services.
